Travel Blog: Farewell to Dubai's Wonders - Day 7 A Journey to Remember

As our time in Dubai drew to a close, we woke up at 8 am, filled with mixed emotions. With bittersweet anticipation, we made our way to Armani/Mediterraneo for breakfast. The unique buffet-style interpretation of the traditional continental breakfast delighted our taste buds, offering a tantalizing array of options created by talented chefs. We savoured each bite, cherishing the flavours that marked the beginning of our final day in this remarkable city.

At 11:45 am, we reluctantly packed our luggage, bidding a fond farewell to the Armani Hotel. Time had slipped through our fingers, and the moment to check out had arrived. With hearts heavy with cherished memories, we made our way to the lobby, cherishing the last glimpses of the hotel's elegance and grandeur.

By 3 pm, we found ourselves making our way back to the Dubai International Airport. As we gazed out of the windows, the city's skyline bid us adieu, a tapestry of towering structures that had etched a permanent mark on our hearts. Dubai captivated us with its vibrancy and left an indelible impression.

As our flight soared through the skies, we carried with us cherished moments and unforgettable experiences that Dubai had gifted us. The seven-hour journey back to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) embraced us with a heartwarming sense of "home sweet home" as we returned to Malaysia. The familiar comforts of our homeland greeted us, reminding us of the beauty that awaited us beyond our adventures abroad.

Finally, at 11:30 pm, we landed at Penang International Airport, our beloved gateway to our cherished hometown. A sense of joy and contentment filled our hearts as we embraced the familiarity of our surroundings. The memories of our Dubai journey would forever hold a special place within us, reminding us of the vast wonders that await us in the world.

Travel Blog: From Desert Sands to Urban Marvels - Day 6 Unveils Dubai's Splendor

As the sun bathed the desert in a warm glow, we woke up, brushing off the remnants of sandy particles, bidding farewell to the tranquil wilderness that had enchanted us for the past day. Day 6 beckoned us back to the vibrant city of Dubai, promising new adventures and urban marvels.

At 10 am, we packed up our belongings, cherishing the memories created amidst the desert's vastness. Before departing, we treated ourselves to a delectable breakfast of Basbousa, a sweet, syrup-soaked semolina cake, accompanied by the traditional Arabic coffee known as "Qahwa" or "Gahwa." The delightful combination of flavours provided the perfect start to our day.

By 12 pm, we bid adieu to the desert, eagerly venturing back into the bustling city of Dubai. Regretful of not having visited earlier, our sights were set on the iconic Burj Khalifa, an architectural marvel that stood tall in the city's skyline.

As we arrived at Burj Khalifa around 2 pm, we were captivated by its grandeur and architectural splendour. We marvelled at the magnificent structure, its sleek lines reaching towards the sky. The cityscape unfolded before our eyes, and we realized the true magnitude of Dubai's cosmopolitan charm.

During our exploration, we stumbled upon the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, a mesmerizing attraction within Burj Khalifa. We immersed ourselves in the captivating world of marine life, encountering fascinating species and witnessing breathtaking underwater displays. It was an enchanting experience that left us in awe of the wonders that lay beneath the ocean's surface.

As the evening approached, we continued to stroll around the surroundings of Burj Khalifa, absorbing the electric atmosphere that surrounded us. The city's vibrant energy and architectural brilliance cast a spell on us, leaving us amazed at the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

At 9 pm, hunger beckoned, and we sought out a fine dining experience at an Italian-themed restaurant close to Burj Khalifa. The Armani Hotel Restaurant provided a culinary journey like no other, with its exquisite flavours and impeccable service. We savoured each bite, relishing the delectable creations that graced our plates.

As we drifted off to sleep, the allure of Dubai's urban marvels danced in our dreams. Day 6 had taken us from the tranquil desert to the bustling cityscape, unravelling the splendour of this extraordinary destination.

Travel Blog: Thrills and Tranquility - Day 5 Unveils Dubai's Desert Delights

The anticipation was palpable as we woke up early, brimming with excitement for the day's outdoor adventure. Day 5 promised a thrilling experience amidst the desert landscapes of Dubai, and we could not wait to immerse ourselves in the magic of the dunes.

Before setting out on our desert escapade, we enjoyed a simple breakfast at the hotel at 9 am. We relished Chai Karak, a traditional tea with milk, accompanied by Chebab, an Emirati pancake. This hearty meal provided the necessary fuel to kickstart our thrilling day.

At 11 am, our journey commenced as we ventured towards a morning desert safari with quad biking. The adrenaline surged through our veins as we engaged in heart-pounding activities like dune bashing, quad-biking, and sandboarding. Amidst the golden dunes, we marvelled at the breathtaking sunrise, its warm hues painting the sky in a mesmerizing display.

As the day progressed and the sun reached its zenith, our rumbling stomachs reminded us of the importance of nourishment. We indulged in falafel and chicken shawarma, relishing these warm appetizers that satisfied our cravings.

By 4 pm, as the intensity of the desert sun began to wane, we embarked on the Dubai Half-Day Desert Safari tour. Before settling into a Bedouin-style camp, we embarked on a captivating camel ride. The rhythmic motion of the camels provided a sense of tranquillity, allowing us to connect with the desert's ancient spirit.

As the radiant golden hour enveloped the desert landscape, we stood in awe, witnessing the ethereal beauty that unfolded before our eyes. The tranquil atmosphere and the breathtaking scenery created a moment of pure serenity, etching this memory deep within our hearts.

By 8 pm, hunger once again beckoned, and we savoured the remaining shawarma and falafel, savouring each bite as we relished the flavours of Dubai's culinary offerings. We settled in for the night, finding comfort in the Bedouin-style tent, embracing the stillness of the desert, and finding solace in its vastness.

As we drifted off to sleep, the desert whispered its secrets to us, encapsulating the essence of Dubai's enchanting wilderness. Day 5 brought us moments of exhilaration and tranquillity, creating memories that would endure for a lifetime.

Travel Blog: A Gastronomic Adventure in Dubai - Day 4 Brings Culinary Delights

As the sun rose over Dubai, we awoke with anticipation for another day of exploration and gastronomic delights. Day 4 promised to tantalize our taste buds with exquisite flavours and introduce us to new culinary experiences in this remarkable city.

After preparing ourselves for the day, we embarked on a brunch adventure at 12 pm. Our destination was the Arabian Tea House Café in Al Fahidi, a place renowned for its authentic Emirati cuisine. We eagerly ordered the Baid Tamat, also known as Baith Thamath, an Emirati speciality featuring scrambled eggs cooked with tomatoes. The flavours melded together perfectly, offering a delightful start to our culinary journey.

Impressed by the flavours and ambience at the Arabian Tea House Café, we decided to return for a late lunch at 2 pm. This time, we indulged in the main course - Biryani Deyay/Laham. This aromatic dish consisted of fresh chicken or meat cooked with rice and aromatic Gulf spices. It was served with a refreshing yoghurt and Chickpea Salad, a delightful combination of flavours and textures. We shared the portion among the five of us, savouring each mouthful and relishing the authenticity of the Emirati cuisine.

To digest our hearty meal, we took a leisurely stroll around the Al Fahidi area at 4 pm. The picturesque surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for a gentle walk, allowing us to unwind and appreciate the beauty of Dubai's streets.

As evening descended, we returned to the Arabian Tea House Café for dinner at 6 pm. Our taste buds danced with delight as we savoured the Ryash Barbeque, succulent grilled lamb chops served with yoghurt, Arabic salad, fresh potatoes, and Tanoor bread. The tender meat, infused with aromatic spices, melted in our mouths, leaving us craving for more. Additionally, we relished the Mince Kebab Wrap, featuring roasted minced lamb with hummus, pickled cucumber, parsley, grilled onion, and tomato, all wrapped in Arabic bread and accompanied by fresh potatoes. The flavours blended harmoniously, providing a symphony of tastes that delighted our senses.

With satisfied appetites and contented hearts, we returned to our hotel at 8 pm, allowing our bodies to rest and rejuvenate. The culinary journey of the day left an indelible mark on our taste buds, creating cherished memories of Dubai's vibrant food scene.

As the clock struck midnight, we fell into a peaceful slumber, embracing the joy and satisfaction that this remarkable city had brought us. Our exploration of Dubai continued into the third day, promising new experiences and unforgettable moments. After indulging in a satisfying breakfast, reminiscent of the previous day, our group eagerly embarked on a day filled with adventure and culinary delights.

At 11:45 am, we packed our belongings and bid farewell to the Palm Beach Hotel, which had been our comfortable abode for the past few days. Our next destination awaited us, as we made our way to the Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina, an IHG Hotel. The hotel's reputation preceded it, and we were excited to begin this new chapter of our Dubai journey.

By 3 pm, we settled into our new accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina. The hotel's modern and luxurious ambience welcomed us, setting the stage for an exceptional stay in the heart of Dubai's vibrant marina district.

Eager to explore the surroundings, we embarked on a delightful tea time at Tortilla, located around Dubai Marina, at 3 pm. The charming café offered a serene setting to relax and indulge in aromatic teas and delectable treats. The flavours complemented the breathtaking views of the marina, creating a perfect blend of taste and ambience.

Originally prepared from maize hominy meal, tortillas are a thin, round unleavened flatbread from Mexico that are now also manufactured from wheat flour.

As the day progressed, we ventured to the iconic Palm Islands at 5 pm. These extraordinary man-made islands, including Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali, showcased Dubai's prowess in engineering and design. The palm-shaped islands, crafted by Nakheel Properties, stood majestically along the coastline, providing a mesmerizing backdrop against the azure waters. The view was nothing short of spectacular, leaving us in awe of Dubai's ambitious architectural feats.

Although our initial plan was to experience Ain Dubai, Dubai's Ferris Wheel, we discovered that it was temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. However, undeterred, we decided to immerse ourselves in the enchanting atmosphere of Dubai Marina instead.

Returning to Dubai Marina at 7 pm, we were greeted by the vibrant energy and dazzling cityscape. We revelled in the lively ambience, taking in the sights and sounds that surrounded us, creating cherished memories against the backdrop of this modern metropolis.

By 8 pm, our appetites led us to Halla Al Yamama Mandi restaurant, located near Time Place Tower. The restaurant offered an authentic taste of Arabian cuisine, and we eagerly savoured the flavours of their renowned dishes. We delighted in the Half Mandi Chicken, with its tender chicken marinated in traditional spices and steam-roasted to perfection on a bed of fragrant mandi rice. Additionally, we indulged in the flavorful Shish Tawouk, featuring succulent pieces of marinated chicken breast served with rice and vegetables. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed refreshing Almond and Date Smoothies, a delightful blend of flavours that perfectly complemented our dining experience.

With satisfied palates and contented hearts, we returned to the hotel at 10 pm, bidding goodnight to the vibrant city that had captured our hearts. Travel Blog: Immersive Adventures in Dubai - Day 2 Unveils a World of Delights

Date: 6 July 2023

Our second day in Dubai promised to be just as exciting as the first, as we eagerly set out to explore more of this captivating city. As we got up from bed and get ourselves ready, we proceeded to have Breakfast at the hotel. The food served was lettuce and tomatoes for vegetables. Additionally, food over there served fruits as well. Fruits such as watermelon and pineapples.

At 11:10 am, after breakfast, we adjourned to our first location at the Future of the Museum This unique attraction offered a glimpse into Dubai's innovative vision for the future. Which is around Sheikh Zayed Road. Future Museum is an area where cutting-edge and futuristic ideologies, services, and products can be displayed.

Through interactive exhibits and thought-provoking displays, we witnessed groundbreaking technological advancements and gained insight into the city's ambitious plans. It was a fascinating experience that left us inspired and amazed by the possibilities that lay ahead.

By 1 pm, our appetites led us to the Food Ka Mood Restaurant, which is located around 19 Zaa'beel Street near Al Karama. Where we relished a delightful lunch, the food we ordered was Dosa, also known as dosai, a South Indian pancake prepared with a fermented batter consisting of rice and crushed black lentils. For the beverage we just had Ginger Orange Pineapple and Pomegranate as fresh juices.

At 2 pm, we found ourselves at the Dubai shopping mall around Al Fahidi. We head to the retail centre in Al Fahidi after lunch. From our vantage point, it is primarily packed with electrical things on exhibit, such as Intel chipsets and advertising for laptops and smartphones. Nothing spectacular but worth noticing such electronics brands are promoting their way to Dubai.

After a few hours of retail therapy, we returned to our hotel at 4 pm to rest and rejuvenate.

In agreement, eager to continue our shopping adventures, we decided to visit Magic Planet Mall at 6 pm. This family-friendly mall was a haven of entertainment, with its exciting mix of arcade games, thrilling rides, and engaging activities.

We immersed ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere, vending machines, arcade games, indoor go-karts, and bowling alleys were available. This allows us to let our inner child run wild and create unforgettable memories.

As the evening progressed, hunger struck, and we ventured to the DAFZ food court at 8 pm for dinner. Which is located at 796H+RP5, Al Twar 2.

We ordered Desi Pizza traditionally in a tandoor clay oven, often known as Tandoori Pizza. For the drinks, we got ourselves Masala Chai, a black tea prepared with flavourful spices, sugar, and milk.

We savoured the flavours of different cuisines, enjoying the bustling atmosphere and lively conversations surrounding us.

With satisfied bellies and hearts full of contentment, we had a great dinner and we went back to the hotel and recuperate for the next exciting day.

We returned to our hotel at 10 pm. It was the perfect time to reflect on the incredible experiences we had enjoyed throughout the day and prepare ourselves for the adventures that awaited us on the following day.
